New Beginnings (Fall 2009, Volume 1, Issue 1)
It is my distinct pleasure to present the first issue of the Journal of South Texas English Studies to you. This journal is a collaborative effort between The University of Texas at Brownsville's English Department and its graduate English student association (EGADS!). I would like to thank the entire editorial board of the journal for the their hard work and patience, including Associate Editors Don Crouse and Jenny Ashley and faculty members Dr. Beccie Randhawa, Dr. Diana Dominguez, and Dr. Teresa Murden.
This first issue of the journal is aptly themed "New Beginnings." We have a nice mix of authors from around the world, including Germany, India, and Australia, and across the United States, including Pennsylvania, Florida, and Texas. Please click on the links to the articles below. I hope you enjoy.
Sincerely,
Andrew Keese
